Goofy Golfer

We were lucky , we played Antwerpen Golft on sunday, the best of the 3 days.. not a single drop of rain.

Compared to last year the layout had changed drastically.. No more heading downtown for the 9 holes, we stayed in the 2 nearby parks.

4 holes were the same as last year. 1 was a reversed layout and modified from a par 4 to a par 5.

And the other 4 were brand new.
The hard part about playing with an AlmostGolf bal is that on the first 1-2 holes you have absolutely no feeling for the distance.

The other difficult part with a temporary course like Antwerpen Golft is the lack of greens. Thinking about it one should probably use the wintergreen rules, probably would have saved me 3 strokes.
Imagine a 20 cm putt that takes a 90 degree turn right in front of the hole.. never happens on a real green :)

Anyhow... played +7 , now why can't I do that on a real course :)

On June 16th Antwerp plays Golf in it's parks.

A new event that will take place for the first time in Antwerp, if you are new to golf you can get a 30 minute initiation, otherwise you can start directly on the new golf course which has been created specially for the occasion . More info on www.antwerpengolft.be
